A timeless tradition
Elegant, hardwearing and practical, Victorian-style floor tiling can add a touch of class to feature areas in any modern home. And of course, it’s a key part of restoring many period properties.
At Adams Langlois, we take great pride in this delicate and intricate task, working closely with you to deliver an end result that will stand the test of time.
Using a combination of traditional tiling techniques and modern materials we are able to reproduce the look of an original tiled floor, without many of the issues associated with maintaining an older floor. And our close relationship with Alternative Tiles– the East Midlands’ largest supplier of Victorian floor tiles – ensures a quality finish that’s second to none. |

We will begin by visiting your property and discussing your ideas and requirements. |
We go on to measure the area and survey the substrate to ensure that the correct preparation is carried out. |
Working closely with Alternative Tiles, we are able to take your requirements and calculate the correct amount of tiles that are needed. We can then give you an estimation of the costs to complete your floor. |
We can then get started by completing all the preparation work required, before moving on to setting out your floor. |
Working cleanly so as not to stain the tiles, we will then lay the main pattern and border, finishing with an infill of tiles cut to fit between the edge of the border and the wall. |
After the first coat of sealer is applied, the tiles can then be grouted. The whole project is finished after applying another coat of sealer and polish if required. |
